Cider Road
The Cider road is a tourist route leading you through the beautiful countryside and showing you some local typical towns. You can admire the beautiful landscapes with the orchards, chateaux, manors, half-timbered houses. This route is going through the main area of the Ciders producers.
Pont Audemer
Local specialties :
- Tarte de Pont Audemer (Pont Audemer Pie), delicious pie with cream, apples and almonds powder.
- Mirliton : pastry with praline cream and chocolate
- Pommeau : alcoholic drink (mix of apple juice and apple brandy)
Interests : nautical center (swimming pool and aquatic activities), various local markets.
Crevecoeur en Auge :
Crevecoeur Castle : beautiful castle from the XII° century, a must-see during your trip to Normandy with a medieval festival each summer. This is one of the most visited sites in Normandy.
Cambremer :
Situated on the cider road, this is a nice and charming village, only 30 minutes from Deauville. You can visit there the wonderful gardens of Pays d’Auge. And each spring, they have the AOC Festival, market where local producers show their products.
Beuvron en Auge :
Real treasure of Normandy, Beuvron en Auge is classified among the most beautiful villages of France. Enjoy the calm and quiet of this lovely typical town, with antiques stores, small shops with local products (cider, pommeau, calvados, apple juice, cheeses, teurgoule…). Guided tours can be organized by the Tourism Information Center. They also have a Flowers Festival in May and a Cider Festival in October.
